Hey all,

I just have a few general questions, as IRCC phone lines are pretty blocked.
My girlfriend is a US Citizen currently staying with me in Canada. She arrived here before the COVID travel restrictions hit and we applied for a second extension of stay (Visitors Record), which came back approved on Jan 21st 2021, valid until Feb 20, 2021.

However, we have health and safety concerns associated with travelling during the pandemic. Given the limited time we had until her status expired, we went and applied for a second extension, applying online on January 29th. We got an automated response saying that the application had been submitted.

Today we got her physical copy of the visitor record in the mail. However, under the conditions it states that she has to leave by the expiration date (obviously).

Does this statement prohibit her from applying again? Or is it just a reiteration of the expiry date? She does not wish to overstay her welcome in Canada. But this is our first time dealing with this kind of thing and want to be sure we’re not unknowingly running afoul with the law.

Sorry for the story guys. Stay safe and thank you.

A minor correction. We applied for her FIRST extension, which is the one that came back approved. We applied for our SECOND extension on January 29th. My mistake.
