Hello!

I've got a bit of a difficult/complicated question here.

My husband and I are currently living in Syria. I am a Canadian citizen, sponsoring him. Our sponsorship has been approved, and his file is currently being processed in Amman, Jordan.

Should we need to leave the country, he will likely have to apply for refugee status outside.
- If he obtains refugee status in another country, how will this effect his Canadian PR application?
- Would his file have to be transferred to another office?
- If his file would have to be transferred, would it add another delay to our processing?

Thank you so much!

If you feel that there is a risk of you guys to have to leave the country
my best advise is for you to inform the Visa Office in Amman and explain your situation,
and will be necessary to explain that if that happens he will need to seek refugee status
wherever you go.
I would inform them as soon as possible, because if you guys have to leave it will be more
difficult to do so.... now is a good moment to inform....
you may need to have someone in Canada to keep track of your application,
but that Immigration will need to ask... or you can suggest....

Good luck
