Hello All,
just was wondering...so I would like to travel to the United States after I apply for PR card in Toronto, I am not sure about visiting Quebec after recent weather conditions.
There is an option to return with a private transportation (not sure how it could be done between NYC and Toronto). There is a different option with applying for PRTD to return back with airplane/train/bus, etc whichever is considered a public transportation.

But I am not sure how i can interpret the following phrase:
If you have been a permanent resident for less than five (5) years
  • you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.
How am I supposed to show it if I just arrived? =)

Did anyone apply for PRTD upon landing? Any positive experience with that?

This only means you need to have more than 730 days left in the 5 year period following your landing date to fulfill residency obligation. Since you have just landed, you will be fine. Good luck!
