Hi everyone,
Hoping to get some advice from all the experts on here.
This is my situation: I am on an open WP accompanying my wife who is on a closed WP for a one-year fellowship (LMIA-exempt). I am eligible for FSW and am ready to submit my profile (my wife does not qualify for FSW) as the principal applicant with my wife as secondary. However, our WPs expire on June 30th, 2016. My wife has a second fellowship for one more year beginning July 1st, 2016. Therefore, we will need to apply for WP extension early next year. My question is this: if I accept an ITA via EE now and subsequently apply for PR, will she be prevented from renewing her WP for her second fellowship (July 1st, 2016-June 30th, 2017)? I've read about BOWP but I'm not sure if she can apply for that too. Is it better that we wait till she finishes her first year (June 2016) and apply under CEC with her as the primary applicant?
Sorry for the long-winded question, but would be grateful for your advice.
