The point system has been explained to me by a local agent who's gonna take care of my paper work and more than likely its gonna be all good.

I have a question about finding a job though. I am an IT professional with over 8 years of experience as a Linux system administrator transitioned into DevOps engineer's role since a couple of years. Now depending on how much I score, either I would get to choose a state I wish to migrate to or a state would need to sponsor me.

My question is, how easy would it be for someone with my experience to find a job in the IT field in Canada?

Once you land, you will have to find a job yourself. Toronto and Vancouver both has many IT companies. Try searching on indeed.ca or linkedin.ca

The employers will entertain you only if you have PR

Thanks for getting back to me. Do you think its a good idea to start looking for a job a couple of months prior to your actual landing date? Is it entertained by the firms on the guarantee that someone will be there in X number of days according to the law while interviewing them?

Once you have PR status, then they can wait for you.

In my case, My employer is waiting for my PR and post that he will offer a job. Lucky me..
