Applying for PR and working part time in Europe.

Hello all.
I have a plan that so far based on what I have researched, seems to be without any major problems.
That being said maybe some of you can point out any realistic problems that I can expect to encounter.
I currently hold a 2 year Canadian work and holiday visa which was activated 1 year ago.
I had planned to return to Canada from Irelandin the next two weeks. I am based in British Columbia.
I have being offered a position in a company in Europe (Greece) that I would be a fool to turn down. This position runs 5 months of the year every year.
Originally I had being hoping to apply for Canadian PR when I returned.
From the research that I have done on PR I have learned that 2 out of the 5 years need to be spent in Canada. with the job in Greece I will spend 5 months per year, over 5 years , a total of 25 months/2 years 1 month.
My job in Canada supports this which is great.
I can potentially apply for express PR with my current qualifications.
Unfortunately I have until the end of next week to make a decision.
If anyone out there can offer some advice on this plan. Especially if you have experienced something similar.
Does this seem like a waste of time and effort? Will I most likely experience a lot of stress and headache from this with little chance of success? Or does this seem like a plan that will have a high chance of success?

Do you have 1 full year of work in Canada? What is your CRS score. Have you looked whether you qualify for sure for EE program. Working 5 months in Greece makes it tough to do the 2 out of 5 years because it doesn't allow for family emergencies, vacations outside Canada other than during that 5 months in Greece. It is doable though. You also have to factor in a day of travel to get there and to get back to Canada which may add a few days over the 5 years.

Hi Canuck78 I do not have one full year of work in Canada, I only have 9 months so far. I am not certain if I qualify for sure for EE. If I were to spend 5 months of the year in Greece, then I would have 35 months in the 5 years to spend in Canada just short of 3 years. I should be able to work occasional trips back to Ireland this way. But you make a good point.

If I were to spend 5 months of the year in Greece, then I would have 35 months in the 5 years to spend in Canada just short of 3 years. I should be able to work occasional trips back to Ireland this way. But you make a good point.

Would make sure you find out if you qualify for. PR or how you can qualify for PR. That seems to be one important thing you need to figure out.

Because right now you are thinking about something that is not yet relevant for you.

Working holiday can help when it comes to CRS points. But you need to have 1 full year of Canadian work experience. Which you do not have right now.

So your decision about Greece might in a long term hurt your possibility to obtain PR. So answer the top 2 questions first before you try to cook that bird that is still up in the sky.

And for your info these days you need to get CRS over 440 points (450 points is the safe line) in order to get a direct invitation.
And those are not that easy to get without Canadian experience (one would need close to perfect English, Master degree and 3 years of international work experience and being not too old - 33 or less).

Thank you very much for your reply. It is true I still need to do a lot of homework on this and I am trying to work it all out before the end of this week. So all the advice I am receiving has being incredibly helpful.
