Applying for PGWP whilst spousal sponsorship is processing?

Hi there,

We have our common-law sponsorship PR application processing right now. I am an international student in Canada and due to graduate soon.
Does anyone here know if I applying for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) would mess up our processing PR application? I can't find answers anywhere!
