My caregiver will be applying for PR for herself, her husband and her 2 children (the 3 latter being outside of Canada) in Spring of 2016. I thought I'd hit up this forum with a few questions since I'm having no luck getting thru to CIC:

1. After applying, can her family come to Canada on a visa, perhaps as visitors?
2. If so, once the PR is approved, would they have to leave to physically obtain it, since they are applying from outside Canada?
3. CIC currently has a wait time of 44 months for a PR application under the LCP. Does anyone know if this is still accurate for the first few months of 2015?

Thanks!

1. Extremely unlikely.
2. See 1
3. Yes, that is the processing time for 80% of the LCP applicants.
