Applying for off-campus workpermit second time

Hello,

I had come to Canada in 2006 to study and graduated I have applied for the residency under the CEC. I am now going back to school for a year program and I got accepted into the program and I am applying for the study permit this week.

Can I apply for my off-campus work permit right after I receive the study permit or do I sill have to wait for 6 months, I am confused since this is my second time do I still have to wait.

Any one been in my situation?

I think no, because you have to have been a student (on a study permit) for at least 6 of the past 12 consecutive months which I don`t think you have been..
