My Chinese mother in law is in Canada now and she cannot fly home due to covid, her visa expires end april. We are considering applying for an extension but she would prefer to get a new visa so she could go home to china once things ease up and know that she can come back. Standard is to apply from her home country. under the circumstances can she apply for a new canadian visa in Canada?
