Applying for Diploma in Canada after doing a degree in the same field.

I did a degree in Computer Applications (3 yrs in India).

Now I am applying for a Computer Programmer Diploma in Canada.

Do I need to tell CIC that i already did a degree and is it an issue to obtain a study visa because of that.

No, you should not apply the same degree level, your visa higher chance fail. You should apply higher level degree in Canada, then you can change the level/ college when your visa already approved.

But the Computer Application is more vaste compared to the programming which is more deep.

A bit like specialisation.
