Hello All,

I've gone through a weird series of events throughout my life and my question relates to one of them, and my willingness to move ahead in life.

After completing my A'levels, I joined a university in my home country in 2013. Unfortunately, my presence there was short lived because we ran into financial trouble, and a family divorce situation, and I had to drop out in 2015, after completing half of my 4 year course.
I then joined a full time work, and have worked there for 4 years to support myself financially. Now, it's 2019, and I applied for a 2 year diploma in business at SENECA and got accepted.
I will apply for a study permit soon.

My question is, how will the visa officer view this situation? I know it does not look good, but the life experiences I have gained is priceless. However, is there a chance the officer will reject my visa based on me dropping out previously, 4 years ago?Someone told me to not mention that I was enrolled at a university, but I do not want to take that risk.

Any help, please?

I agree and I will not go down that path. However will the study gap and me going from bachelors to diploma be a problem?

In general it has to make sense for you to study in Canada based on your previous education, work history and family situation. The study gap isn’t the issue you need to show that you are ready to return to school and why you need to study in Canada. Also convince CIC that you will return to the UK.
