Hi I am not applying from Pakistan but you may find the following helpful. I applied online ( gc key log in) for study permit for myself from London on 22-8-16 and my husband applied for his open work permit with me ( I applied for him from my account). We both got confirmations by email about the success of our applications on 14 September 2016. I believe it was because we applied together and I ensured that I had attached every single item that was requested as supporting documentation. My letter of explanation detailed why I was applying and why certain docs were attached . Hope it helps everyone.

My timeline:

Submitting Application on 3-Oct-2016 to CIC Islamabad for winter 2017 intake.
College: Cambrian College, Sudbury, ON
Program: Advanced diploma in Business Accounting -3 years!
Fees Paid for 1 full year: $14000
On Campus residency paid for 1 full year.
Bank Statement only 2 months of savings account: 5+ millions.
Business bank statement of my father as well, which shows 1 year of business worth 100+ millions.
Ielts overall band: 5.5

Hi I applied for student visa on 23 september and received a call yesterday, 9 October, from canada visa office Isalamabad to collect the processed passport.
I have a question that is it a rejection or a passport back with medical as they did't mention any thing about medical?

When did your meds passed on mycic?
And when did you receive meds request after that?

My medical was passed on mycic portal on 11th Nov, 2016.
I am wondering how long would they take now for passport request
