We are applying for spousal sponsorship with the open work permit (LMIA exempt code A70) and are having trouble understanding 2 parts of the work permit application form.

The first question is related to the original entry to Canada. I have been to Canada many times over the years so I am not sure what entry they are referring to. I thought they might be referring to the most recent entry but the following question already asks about my most recent entry. I have visited Canada from Germany ever since I was a toddler every few years as I have distant relatives here. It was during one of my travels that I ended up meeting the woman who would become my wife! I am currently applying inland and my status right now is as a visitor. I have also been in Canada under a working holiday visa before it expired end of 2018 at which point I returned to Germany. Now I am in Canada to be with my wife and we are applying so that we can start our lives here.

My other question is about the section where it asks about intended work in Canada. When I was here under the working holiday visa I had a job and was working. However I had to stop once my visa expired. It is likely that they would have me back once I have a work permit, but they can't offer me employment without having the work permit first. I understood with the A70 visa I would be applying for an Open Work Permit where I would not actually need an offer or letter of employment but I cannot seem to move forward with the application without providing employment offer details. What do I do?

If you don't know the original entry, pick a date and explain on a separate sheet.

Put N/A for all employment fields.
