Please I need help!

I had a DUI in Utah-USA in 2004 but the case was dismissed dropped in 2009 , 9 years have passed
When I return to US in 2007 my tourist visa was canceled they sent me back home because I overstayed in US. 5 years ban! 11 years have passed.
I am waiting for the LMIA as well which will be here in May
I am traveling from Brazil with my wife and my 8 years old daughter to work in Alberta
What should I do to avoid a denied visa application?
Will I need a TRP? or only a legal opinion letter will suffice. please I really need to decide what to do in order to get my work permit visa
if anyone can help in this case I will really appreciate thank you!

If the DUI was fully dismissed / charges dropped - then you should have no inadmissibility issues and no TRP would be required.

When you apply for the work permit, make sure you are 100% honest about the overstay in the US, the fact your US tourist visa was canceled and you were sent home.

Thank you very much for answering my message!!
So, in this case, should I answer yes for the question in my visa application " Have you ever been an arrest? and explain the incident with a legal opinion letter? and provide FBI criminal records, Utah state criminal records or only the court paperwork will suffice?

You need to say yes and provide the full details of your charges and dismissal.

I would definitely provide the state cert and yes, you'll want to provide the FBI cert.

Thank you again I really appreciated that! one more question, please!
Do you think a legal opinion letter will qualify my explanation? or should I go ahead and try to do this by myself?
