Hello Everybody!!! I am sponsoring my husband from Inside Canada!!! He is coming from Germany.
I got the first stage approval and because he has no status in Canada i can apply now for a Work Permit. I am trying to fill up all of the spaces provided but some questions i can't answer. He doesn't have a work experience for now because when he finished school where he went we planned so that he would move to Canada and will start working here.... In the beginning of the Work permit application ( IMM5710 ) the question number 3 asks:
I am applying for one or more of the following: then the choices are:
1) A work permit with the same employer
2) Restoration of your status as a worker
3) An initial work permit with a new employer
4) Temporary Resident Permit
I can't really choose any of them because i am sponsoring him and just applying for the work permit... i can't validate it without choosing either number 1 or 3 ... weird... even though number 2 would be more applicable to him than 1 or 3....
Next question is in the BACKGROUND INFORMATION :
2 a) Have you remained beyond the validity of your status, attend school without authorization or worked without authorization in Canada? theres a choice of yes or no...
He was in Canada and he is still in Canada with no status, Does " When i applied for a sponsorship from inside Canada after that his status expired and now when he got a first stage approval he can apply for a work permit " counts as a beyond validity of the status???
2 c) Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada?
If i answer yes i have to explain... First of All there not enough space to type everything in there... to explain that he is being sponsored and he got the first stage approval.... another thing is: Does the sponsorship application counts as a "previous apply to enter or remain in Canada" in the question 2c) ???? Because before i applied for his sponsorship i was applying for an extension of the stay in canada and got approved but it had been expired in November 30th of 2013 which is waaaay after i applied for sponsorship... I know i made a mistake.. I should have applied for a sponsorship together with a Work permit. I got so busy with the sponsorship application that i completely forgot about the work permit application having to be done as well... So now i am struggling...
