applying for a visitor visa

I am an international student and I do not have any relatives in Canada and even outside of my country.
I wanted to ask my sibling to come for my convocation as I do not have anyone to capture this memorable event.
Do you think I can get a visitor visa for him? what are the requirements?

You cant do much, he must apply for visitor visa and meet all the requirements, you can maybe write a letter in support of his reason for coming with suppoting evidence but this is a small part of getting a visa.
