Applying for a new passport

Hey guys,

I'm here on a skilled worker visa and I need to apply for a new passport (I've run out of pages). When I send my passport off (back to the UK) should I remove my visa and keep it on me, and then when I get my new passport what is the protocol? Do I take both passports and my visa to the boarder/visa offer and they can transfer it over for me?

AFAIK, never never never tear or tamper your passport, its an offense and you might land up in trouble. DONT remove the VISA page, just send the passport and get it renewed.

The protocol is simple, you will have to carry both the passports at the border and they will let you in as you have a valid VISA stamping even though it is on the other passport. (I have three passports and carry it all the time )

Agreed with Bigbee +1. One cannot emphasize enough about NOT to tamper with passport in any way.
