apply to work in Canada

My friend told me that we can apply to work in Canada although we are Hong Kong citizen (NOT Canada Citizen but have US master degree) and I doubt whether it is true or not.

My question is:
1) Suppose we get a job to be medical record assistant or clerical assistant in Canada, so how can we apply work permit to work in
Canada?

2) Also, is the work permit has age restriction?

1) To qualify to apply for a work permit, you need a job offer from a Canadian employer and the employer must also obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion. Once you have these two things, you can apply for a work permit. Information on how to apply is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-can.asp

Hi! Does anyone know what type of jobs in Canada can be easily to pass the labour market opinion and get the working permit? In other words, what types of jobs are in shortage of labour in Canada right now?
