I was wondering if anyone has been in my situation and might be able to share their experience.
I am currently working full-time on a Post-Graduation Work Permit. Will meet the minimum 1 year Canadian experience at the end of the month so I am getting everything ready for my PR application. I have a CRS score of above 530 so I am certain I will receive an invitation to apply after I have submitted my profile.
I have been admitted for my PhD starting in September. Since my PR application will definitely be approved after September, I will need a Student Permit to be able to attend the first Semester (Sep-Dec) and then I will hopefully get my PR around November.
My question is: are there any inconveniences, that anyone is aware of, for applying for a Study Permit while on an Open Work Permit while awaiting a final Decision on the PR application? Has anyone had a similar experience?
