Apply SIN Online

Hello everyone, I'm moving to Canada by the end of the year. I guess the first thing I need to do is to apply the SIN online during quarantine. Could anyone share some light on how long it takes? I have to give a date to my employer to make sure I can get my paycheck without any issues.

Offer? You don't need SIN to get an offer.

I am currently outside Canada. To start remote work with a company in Canada, SIN is not needed? @daniel_1

Working remotely from another country is very complicated. I doubt if your company allows you to do that unless you are a contractor which means you get the full salary and pay the tax in your home country. You'd better to check with the legal/tax department.
