They applied inland with owp (an a company hiring letter) but PA visa was expiring so he decided to return to the states to wait for his pr application. However they applied inland.. And he is back home, will that affect his application ?
No - it's not. Inland requires you to be in Canada and living with your sponsor to apply.I don't know was it miscommunication through the border police that he cannot extend his visitor visa. I thought it was odd as they been married over decades but reside in states till last yr decided to move back.
