Apply for visa within Canada

Is anyone familiar or has experience with the process of applying for a Visa inside Canada. I have a work permit with visa expiring as of November 30th and would like to attend my brother’s wedding next march.

I am not worried about how to apply, my concern is whether or not I would need to remain in the country to receive the VISA

? If you apply for the visa right now, you're practically guaranteed to get it before March. Are you planning to travel outside Canada before that?

Gotcha. I plan on traveling in May.

Then you should have no trouble applying for and getting the visa. It's quite quick when you apply from here and you already have a valid work permit.
