Hi all,

We have been collecting documents for my wife's PR application. I (Canadian citizen) live with my wife in India. We have been married for two years and been living together for two years. The tech scene in Canada is picking up and would like to move back to Canada asap. Originally we were going to apply an outland application and be in the India the whole time (ie wait for a year and then move together) . But I dont want to miss the boat on with all the great jobs popping up. Are any of the following routes possible? Which one would be best?

1 . Apply for her tourist visa. Go to Canada together. Apply for PR from there (still an outland application) and keep extending tourist visa till PR is approved.

2. Apply for a PR (outland application) while we are still in India. Then apply for tourist visa and then move to Canada as soon as tourist visa is approved. Keep extending tourist visa till PR is approved.

3. Get tourist visa. Go to Canada . Applying for inland application.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

I suggest you apply for the TRV first and then evaluate your choices based on whether it is approved or not. With a Canadian spouse, her TRV chances are lower as it is; with a sponsorship app in process, she has almost no chance of TRV approval.
