I got a PR invitation but was charged with a DUI case a week after that. May I know if anyone of you have undergone the same situation and got the PR approved. Also whether you were able to get a conditional discharge which helped you in getting the PR approved, please mention the key points which helps in getting a conditional discharge...

Please help me in advising on the same, it would be very helpful as my family is dependent on me and would really appreciate you !!!

you can also respond to me privately in hisiv4u7@gmail.com

Thank you...

Did this happen in Canada?

Your PR app will not be approved with an outstanding DUI charge. If you are convicted, you will be inadmissible to Canada. The PR app would be refused and if you are in Canada, you would be told to leave the country or be removed.

Is the DUI from inside Canada or outside of Canada?

If outside of Canada, you need to get the charges dropped or reduced to a non-DUI charge - otherwise you're going to end up being inadmissible to Canada for 5 years.

The charges are from Canada. May I know whether my application will be put on hold because of these charges or will it get rejected right away?

Also Can i apply for a TRP if my application gets rejected?

Thank you...

They will reject it right away with no appealing rights as your ineligible to immigrate, so the TRV will be rejected. I would suggest you appoint a Canadian immigration lawyer to fight for your case and get ready to pay tons of $$$$. Otherwise, you will be asked to voluntary leave Canada or be removed as a last resource.
