Hi everyone. I am currently with a close work permit, provided under the International Experience Canada program for Young Professionals, and have been working in Canada for less than 1 year. I was told by my friends that I can apply for an Open Work Permit while I am here as well, but I cannot find any information to confirm this.
Does anyone have more information on this regard? And would it be possible to provide a link to where I can access it?

Thank you.

Open work permits are only issued in very specific circumstances. Some examples include having a spouse who is in Canada on a study permit, having a spouse who is in Canada on a closed work permit in a NOC A/B/0 occupation, if you've applied for PR through Express Entry and have received ITA and submitted your complete application, if your spouse is Canadian and has sponsored you for PR through the inland application process.

Based on the limited information you have provided, you do not qualify for an open work permit.

Which open work permit criteria do you believe that you meet?
