Hi,

I am trying to apply for my mom and my brother ( 17 years old ) to come for a visit, I will have a new born in March-2019.
My brother's school finishes in May, they will try to come after he is done.
I am currently a canadian citizen, I live in Montreal, I have an income of $55000 and my wife an income of $72000. I own an appartment as well.
I will be taking care of all the expenses including travel fares, accommodation, expenses....
I did apply for them 4 years ago, they were rejected. the reason was not enough funds.
Since, my situation has changed, better job and I became a citizen.
I am seaking an advise on what documents should I submit in order to avoid being rejected.
Is it better to apply seperatly?! I don't want my mom's application to be rejected because of my brother as he is still a student.
is it being a student makes it harder to get accepted?
My mom does not work ,she doesn't have a bank account.
your advise will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Although you would like your mom and brother to visit together, based on your post it does not seem they will be approved if they apply together.

Your finances + your support for their visit is secondary. Your mom needs to prove she has the finances to afford the visit for herself and your brother. Both of them must demonstrate they have reasons to return at the end of a short visit. Unfortunately, your brother won't have any study ties after he finishes school unless he applies a few months after he starts a higher study program.

IMO, your mom must apply alone by indicating your brother as the family tie to return to. Does she own property or other financial assets? Does she get a pension? Does she live with other dependent family members? Has she traveled to other visa-required countries? How long does she want to visit?

thank you for the prompt reply.
My Mom never worked, she was always at home.
she would like to stay for a month.
They live from my father's pension money, he has a bank account and 2 houses under his name.
Is she allowed to show my dad's bank account although it's not a joint one? will they take it into consideration?
in regards to my brother, will it help to show that he is enrolled for the year 2019-2020? as he can get a proof once the school is done.
