Applied in Express Entry in CEC without ECA

Hello Friends,

I have applied in EE in CEC category without ECA as a result my score is 201 as I haven't provide the ECA . As per CIC web site in CEC category ECA is not mandatory.

Friends will CIC give any advantages to CEC category at the time of selection ?

You should get your ECA to earn additional points for Education.

What kind of advantages are you talking about. It depends on your overall score out of 1200. However they may set a cap for FSW and a separate CAP for CEC

i also wonder.if they selecte only high score people who ve NOC O,A more chance to get ITA.I hope they ve cap for NOC B which IELTS score overall 5 band is fine .lets wait and see end of this month.i also make profile without ECA got 229 and my profile create for CEC categary as i ve 2 years experience in Canada under NOC B category .

I have soft copy of ECA that downloaded from WES website. Hard copy yet to receive. Can I use this to submit my EOI????????

If it's from a Canadian institution then you don't need an ECA.

I applied under CEC without ECA too, got 272 points, now trying to figure out how to get my education points. Would increase my score to 418, will see after first draw if I would have any chances with increased score or not.
