Hi
I applied for PR in skilled worker criteria. Is it required to be in Canada throughout the time of application processing? At the time of application I was in Canada but after that I was outside Canada for 2 years. Will it be a problem? I couldn't find anything written regarding this. My mailing address was in Canada. Its written to inform them if mailing address is changed not for changing present address.

plz help.

My question is if I am not in Canada but no change of my mailing address (present address changed but not the mailing address) then I need to inform them? or is there any rule to be in canada through out the processing time other than short visit?

I got my file number, medical and submitted landing fee. I have added my spouse file and they asked for additional document to prve our relationship. I was out of canada for 2 years. Will it be a problem? I didn't inform them. But I did my medical outside from canada.

You don't need to remain in Canada during the processing. However, it may impact their assumptions about what documents need to be issues - e.g., if CPP-O thinks you are inside Canada, they may think you don't need a counterfoil (the landing TRV) when you do. In that case, when you submit your passports to them, you will need to make clear to them that you require a counterfoil in addition to the COPR. I'd suggest a clear cover letter advising them if this is necessary

And as abedi555 noted, you do need to update them with your mailing address.

Medicals can be done anywhere in the world, as long as they are done by an authorized doctor.

Good luck!
