Applied for Visitor Visa before receiving a withdrawal confirmation for transit visa

Hi all,

I applied for transit visa online on Jan 18th, it was close to a month and did not receive approval, i went ahead and mailed documents to Los Angeles VAC for regular visitor visa (instead of transit visa).
Meanwhile i filed up online web form requesting my application to be withdrawn, but dont see that happen yet.

Will there by an issue because I have 2 applications pending?
How long does it take for application withdrawal request to be processed online?

They’ll probably put two and two together even if the first application was not formally withdrawn.

You cannot have two such visa applications simultaneously. The visa office will decide which application should be processed.

The visa office will determine that you actually intended to visit and not to transit. This may lead to a closer scrutiny of your documents + ties to your home country, etc for your TRV application.

How long does it take for application withdrawal request to be processed online?

It could take up to eight weeks for an application to be withdrawn and closed (if the visa office allows it)
