Applied for TRV with my son in Canada after PGWP, but ask me to extend my son's Work permit again

Hello,

I applied to renew my TRV within Canada with my son who has a valid Study Permit until 2026; however, the document checklist shows my son must apply for extending or changing conditions to remain in Canada as a student, along with the application for the TRV made outside of Canada. Did I do something wrong?

I don't want to change his condition to remain in Canada, as his Study permit is valid. I want to renew our TRV. Is there a way I can do this without implications on his Study permit?
