Applied for restore study visa, Can I leave Canada and come back?

Hello there, my study permit was expired on August 1st 2015, and I applied restoring my study permit on August 10th 2015. I have been still waiting for CIC's answer.

My question is
Is there anyone who left Canada and came back during their processing time of restoration?

My family's wedding is coming in my back home so I have to visit home and come back, but I am so nervous. If someone who knows about it or who has a experience please let me know please. Thanks.

As far as I know, if you leave the country, your application is automatically canceled.

you enter Canada as a visitor (if you are from visa exempt country) when you come back to Canada.

or you have to apply for new student permit in your country.
