Applied for an Online Open work permit for me and a study visa for kid

Hi All, my wife is in canada on a post study visa and working as a full time LPN, hence I applied for an open work permit for me and a visiting visa for my minor kid (initially a visiting visa for kid age 8 years) i received a call from Canadian embassy stating that i should change the application for my kid to study visa from visiting since he is 8+ years)as we applied an online application from a canadian representative. just curious to know is it a positive sign that our visa will get approved. please advice
