I could but I'm just praying that I won't have to. It's a pain to get renewal.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I found a government stats website that lists the processing times for 20%, 50%, and 80% of cases for all visa offices.
Its way more detailed than the CIC website.
But the forum gives me a message that i can't post links.
Any suggestions how i can share it with you guys?

Thanks for sharing this info with us.

i was wondering..
We have an application number and uci number. The application number starts with a letter F.
On the southafrican highcommision canadian gov website it says to wait for a file number that starts with a letter B before sending any additional documents.
We sent some cards and receipts to pretoria recently but didn't have this B number yet...does anyone have such a number?
Thanks

Mine starts with the letter F as well. There has been no request for additional documents ... I don't think it is anything to worry about :)

It should be ok..the F number shows up in the system. It was just extra evidence not required. I just dont want them to file it in no mans land. The next one's we're sending are support letters signed by people we know...

Has your file been transfered to Pretoria yet? As far as I know your application number doesn't change so you should be safe to send....every step is daunting, Im hoping to hear from them soon...this silence is deadly

The letter said they are now sending it to pretoria. That was feb 3. Not sure if i get a confirmation of
when pretoria actually gets it...is there such a thing?
Our status just says app recieved dec 12 and meds received...nothing else.

Yeah there is such a thing as receiving a AOR from Pretoria...however from everything I read you have a 50/50 chance of receiving it .. LOL, I have yet to receive. We did get a notice from e CAS saying the application was received on Oct 26 ... then we finally received a notice e CAS saying they received the medical in feburary (7 months after doing it). Pretoria can be frustrating, the e CAS should be updated more often...

The other odd thing is they say to use the B number except for adresss change rep change or withdraw. So u need it but you dont.
I may opt to scan any stuff we have and use the case specific online service and attatch a pdf...then i have the original safe if they ask for it?

When my file was transferred to Pretoria I also had a F number, they sent me a letter requesting additional documents and was still with the F number. However, when my visa was ready to be issued, they called me and told me to sent the passport with DHL and include a cover letter with a B number that they provided me on the moment. Said not to include any other number.

well that was my experience, hope it helps.

IndianOcean how are you doing? I just want to ask how to find out if interview is waived for an application? and how long does it take for VO to contact people for interview after they receive your file if you have any idea?

In our case, the visa officer sent a letter advising that the interview has been waived. It is in November that the VO told us the interview was waived (10 months after receiving the application). As you can see, our timeline is very long so far. I expect that yours will be much sooner.

Hey Josephs, I`m doing okay and you? Well Pretoria sent me a letter in November saying that the interview was waived and requesting the last payment. So it was 3 months after I sent my application to Mississauga. I think there is not an exact time that they will contact, I really think it depends on case to case. I heard of cases that they didnt hear from Pretoria for 12 months. Not saying it will happen to you.

Praying for a fast processing time for the rest of our group and forum :)

IndianOcean:
Just curious, how did the VO contact you regarding your passport request? Did they call or sent a letter?
