hmm...true, but it is possible if an applicant is employed in a reputed company which has their own website/email address etc

could you pls tell me are you a damascus applicant?me too filed in damascus .i filed my application on may 2009,according to their request i submitted my complete application on july 2009 in cio sydney,i got a second aor on august 2009.after that my e case was showing rbvo.since then i dont have any reply.now on july 2011 my e case changed in process.is that a positive sign.and also i had one doubt.when i submitted my application my ielts was accademic,my consultant told me it is ok at that time.now i heard that general ielts only accepted.there would be any possibility that they reject my application?pls advice me.thanks in advance...

That is quite weird ...especially with all the frauds that is happening, I think CIC should have continued with "Live" verification. Its anybody's guess that EMAIL's can be easily doctored and the whole purpose of verification will be defeated.

Let's not jump to conclusion till we get an update from Destined.

i agree with you. even CIC mentioned in their website: email is not trusted mode of communication.
However, if it is true that NDVO is doing employment verification via email then they are definitely dispatching email to company's own official email address not to yahoo/gmail/hotmail addresses.

wen one can fake then he/she can fake website and email too
it just cost u 1000-1550 INR to have website with email.

it's ok. when you applied both Academic and GT IELTS were accepted. So, CIC wont reject your applicantion

as far as I know, "in process" status means u have the sufficient points for immigration. Moreover they haven't rejected anyone for Academic IELTS yet just they would ask u to issue General IELTS.... that's it.... don't be worry my friend... and be patient as u used to be before
by the way, u applied before JUNE 2010, so those rules is likely different , but I'm sure " in process" status means " u have in background checking phase"....
