hello friends

I think NDVO is now the slowest one. I am in RBVO for the last 7 months since i submitted my application to CIO sydney. i have lost all hopes and missed many oppurtunities in this period. .According to me i am not lucky enough to hear something good from them and i am now looking forward for something else and will soon withdraw my application

ANSHUMAN

wats the use of withdrawing? u will loose money....

Well Anshuman, the decision is yours but if you look at other threads, people have been waiting for 2-3-4 years to hear anything from VO. We all (Post June 2010) are the fastest apps ever processed for Canada PR. I can understand that your app is a bit slower than your peers but at London VO, there are several applicants who have applied in 2010 who are still waititng.

As for other opportunites that you may have missed - You will have to get your priorities correct. It will be good to list them down and then see where obtaining Canada PR lies in the list. You will be then able to make a proper choice. Several people here have that as their top priority and so are willing to wait. If you have something else, then go with it.
Cheers

Hi QC,

Why U r so depressed and creating a panic among Pakistani applicant, I am Pakistani Too and In Process within a period of 3 month after filling an application.

My Time line
Application to CIC 2 march
In Process with processing on my file from 31may.

Lets pray for all and do hope best for you and all other irrespective of nationality.

I am not creating panic in Pakistani applicants - if there is any reason for anyone to panic, then Pakistani applicants in general have the least reason to do so as are doing much better out of London that anyone else!!
It has taken more than 9 and a half MONTHS for us to go from application date to IN PROCESS, which is three times as long as you and in general that is the case with Pakistan applicants to London - they are being processed faster.

In any case, there are posters from the similar application time to me such as amaartahir who is also a Pakistan applicant who know that I bear them no ill-will, in fact they know they are in my thoughts and prayers a lot and that I am always hoping for their progress as much as and alongside my own. We have been waiting so long together ,we are the London Forgotten Club!!

I know that the others who are still waiting from July/Aug/Sept London batch know that I am in support of them all every day. Country of origin is only a way that London VO discriminates between us. I have no discrimination in my mind when I speak to other people on this forum because I feel for their happiness and also for their sadness and bitterness through this process. If we are all honest, then we have all felt a pang of bitterness when we see others leapfrog us at the same VO. That is only natural.

Not only that, but I know and feel I have kinship with several others here who are waiting while being without their loved ones. That is a hard road to take and every day I think about the whole group of us, including the Spouses and partners who I do not even know and feel for their sadness alongside my own.

So, I thought you would have understood from my smileys that this was said tongue in cheek, shah!
Perhaps the British sense of humour does not come across well to everyone in this format of written word - that is why the smileys are there - to show some humour in the words. When things are tough, you have to laugh in the face of adversity

amaartahir certainly got the joke! ;D

Hi There QC...

I am also in Pakistan....am still RBVO since March2011 (this is the 5th Month)...How long were u RBVO?? Just trying to figure out what was ur timeline.....I also had a theory "once"....and u can also check...any applicant who filed in 2011 at London VO is getting processed much much quicker....even I have a friend who filed in Feb 2011 and he's already got his Meds done....U can imagine how I feel....and there r others too....I know how u feel...and I pretty much feel the same....well I guess a lot of us feel the same....but I hope and pray for everyone who is waiting eagerly to make the BIG move to Canada...that they get their PR soon !!!!!

Take Care and have a nice day !! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Guys,
I am based out of GTA (Toronto, mississauga) area. It just took a day to open my accounts.

Here are few tips.

Bank: RBC/TD/CIBC : all these banks are the same. I prefer RBC due to their business.
Phones: new Immigrants fall prey to Bell/Rogers. I was a victim. My sincere advice is not to go with these two carriers. I would recommend WIND mobile. I am planning to change this september to wind. Wind has got good economical plans.
Internet: same like Mobile Phone. I would recommend Techsavvy internet which is economical and high speed. This is the only carrier which provides unlimited internet with less price.

Any new immigrants can contact me if you want any information. This is just to help new immigrants.

Thanks,
satya.

Good Luck Anil... :) :)

Mayank
