Guys,
I am based out of GTA (Toronto, mississauga) area. It just took a day to open my accounts.

Here are few tips.

Bank: RBC/TD/CIBC : all these banks are the same. I prefer RBC due to their business.
Phones: new Immigrants fall prey to Bell/Rogers. I was a victim. My sincere advice is not to go with these two carriers. I would recommend WIND mobile. I am planning to change this september to wind. Wind has got good economical plans.
Internet: same like Mobile Phone. I would recommend Techsavvy internet which is economical and high speed. This is the only carrier which provides unlimited internet with less price.

Any new immigrants can contact me if you want any information. This is just to help new immigrants.

Derekjeeter 12/1/10 - 3/3/11(PER) (ecas updated 3/8/11 - seems an error since most people at buffalo that applied during this time gor RBVO in 3/25/11)

Yesterday I sent an email to buffalo office and asked about status of my application. My status is still RBVO in their website.This is what I received today from them:

"Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Hi guys, I sent VO an e-mail reg my application and I received the ff response:
"Your file is currently in queue to be paper-screened by an officer. Once this screening takes place, you will be contacted with regards to the next steps in the processing of your application".
Does this mean they will be starting background check which could potentially lead to med request? My ecas is still CIO ER Complete and my address has been missing since 31st July.
What are ur thoughts? Mandie

Exactly 2 weeks since I had the line 'Medical results have been received' added to ecase and now my address reappears. I truly hope this means my ppr is already on it's way to me. Any minute, any second now, I know I'm going to get it!
