Dear Rod,

Actually, I tried few times for other things, like passport replacement, PCC replacement, address changing....however, never got any replies... So I just gave up trying...

I think we can make a complain to Buffalo, if we can have many people sign up for this...Just give them some push to process our documents other than putting them at the corner...

Hi guys.

I am off for a few days to Cropredy Folk Festival so I won't be around until Sunday, and won't have internet access so won't be able to answer PMs until then.

Hope to hear more good news from folks (no pun intended) when I get back!

Wayne.

The missing occupations are now back on the Come To Canada eligibility tool.

What I have noticed is that they are interested to know if you are over or under 35. Why ask this when the current points matrix band is 21 to 49?

As Advance123 suggested, they seem to have applied the new points system (which has been derived from the consultation which ended in March) to this tool and presumably then to all future applications without explaining what the new points are going to be anywhere else on the site!!!
I am glad to see that they have rectified some aspects, such as adding the other occupations back in. Maybe they have also sorted out the Cat 2 points as well. I might try it again later and see! ;D

Wouldn't you think, though that someone would have the sense to check and double check such an important thing before they put it live on the site??? :P

CAIPS.
For the benefit of those who are waiting a long time to hear anything and are already in Canada or know someone who is, here is the site for ordering CAIPS and the telephone contact number.

The official CIC site is here;

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

It has the forms and the address to send them to.
The contact number is ;

Client Service Unit at 613-946-0953 or 1-800-667-6703 "

If you just internet search for CAIPS, you only get private companies who charge a lot to order these notes for you - $40 and upwards. (This is because on the official site they don't call them CAIPS very clearly, they call them 'access to private information' or something like that.
If you order them through the official site, they are only $5.

Hope this helps if you are thinking about finding out about the progress of you application. Some Buffalo applicants be especially interested!

Once you are over 35, your points for age begin to reduce up to 50 years where you get no points.
