Dear Mayankbhai,
I had applied on 20th january 2011.
My file was receievd on 26th january By sydney.
I had done file through agent.
Then i dint get any reply from my agent.
Last week i forced them to reveal the information.
He sent me one mail, which he had sent to Canada to enquire my status.
In reply it was written the Application No EXXXXXXX and "File under review , client will be notified in due course".
I use same Appli no in Ecas to see the status .Now my status shows ""We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 22, 2011.
Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
Still i have not received any response from any one.
Kindly guide me in this case what should i do?

Dear wayne
First i would like to congratulate you on your visa. I have been following your posts and love the way you deliver the information. Wayne i saw the video as well and sadly it reflects the truth. I dont want to be rude or disrespectful to you, but believe me you and your family will get along with canadian life faster than majority of the forum members because of the english or caucasian background. This is the scenario here in Australia as well. In my last 11 years in Austraia i have never ever seen a skilled immigrant from caucasian background doing a dead end job. On the other side i truely met some doctors driving taxis and some other professionals doing security. I am an indian myself and i know some forum members wont like my post, but believe me i am not writing this to demotivate. To all other respected members please guys prepare your mind to work in watever field even if its a dead end one. Please never ever leave your own profession beacause thats what really you are. Be confident but not overconfident regarding to your current professional profiles.
It is unfortunate that many will discover this unpleasant truth after they arrive in Canada.

I was at the Working Abroad Expo in London last weekend and I approach this Construction Company (PCL) since they were advertising for people with Project Management Experience.

As I approached the guy, he immediately put his hand behind his back. A clear indication that he was not willing to shake my hand or collect a CV from me. Nevertheless, I went on to present my case to him and before I had said two sentences, he informed me that the project they were advertising for was just at the inception stages and they won't be requiring people in the skilled trades till later. Just looking at me, he had concluded that I would only be fit for the skilled trades!

I persisted to tell him that I was an Architect and a Certified Project Manager and not a tradesman but he just showed clearly through his comments that he wasn't interested in furthering the discussion and not even look at my CV.

I decided to step back and observe and I noted that he hardly spent any time talking to ethnic minorities but spent loads of time shaking hands with caucasians and having lenghthy talks with them including collecting their CVs.

I just prayed that this won't be the general experience when we get to Canada.

Not every caucasian has this attitude because I have worked with and have befriended many but people should be prepared for this type of reaction. As much as governments speak against racism, there are still many individuals that thrive on it.

Long story but I'm compelled to share it.

Dear Prashant,
I can understand ur anxiety....but the thing iis ur asking same question again n again for which u already got reply.

First clearly tell what ur stauts is showing.....whatever details u given above is what u see when u click the staus...Status is either CIO Review Complete or Recieved by Visa office....if it is CIO Review complete then ur file hasnt reached the VO...n if it is Recieved by Visa office then.....then VO might have sent 2AOR which ur agent might have recieved n not telling u..

and the ""We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 22, 2011."is email which CIO sends to email address mentioned in application form.

Matter is my application is ready as per old formate (before 19-7-2011.)
and now recently they changed application forms and checklist.

my question is: can I send application in old forms or is it
compulosory to submit in in new one..?

any idea....?

Thanks in advance

OOOOOOHHHHH - i can't believe it - after 1,5 week, we've sold our apartment - for the price that we wanted from the beginning :o :o :o
now i can say, that we're flying to Canada in the middle of September!!!!

And the lady who bought an apartment has just came to Poland from Australia - she has the cash, doesnt has to wait for credit AND she has a daughter in Canada - Nova Scotia. And the daughter name is Kasia - like mine :)

I really liked your post!
That's great news and I want to wish you good luck with your new life.

And also to you Wayne (beautiful pic btw, I was looking at it yesterday with my husband and was smiling- told him "look! this is Wayne! They got it"). I know that it will be some stressful time for you now, but please keep us posted on your following steps. How the job market works, how and where you applied, ways to locate good apartments etc.
Good luck! :)
