Dear,
I submitted my documents on 30th December 2010, which were received by D.STEPHENSON on 5th of January 2011. I applied under skilled worker category 2151(architect).
Since then I have not received any recognition of my application from CIO.
I sent my documents through FedEx to:
Citizenship and immigration Canada,
Federal skilled worker (cio),
196 George Street,
b1p 1j3 att: sw1-noc#2151,
Sydney, ns, Canada.

VISA OFFICE:LONDON

Dear all what is the first thing you recieve from CIO...after submitting application....how can i followup my application.

When you complete your recording of landing, you must show proof if asked of at least the minimum required settlement funds. However, this does not all have to be in cash.

You CAN take as much cash as you want, however if you are taking more than $10000 CAD you must inform the officer during your landing process that you are carrying funds in excess of $10000. It's not a problem they just need to know, I guess it's some kind of anti money laundering measure.

Usually credit card/draft is charged within a matter of days - and eligibility email takes 4/5 weeks. So you certainly should have heard something by now.

Did they cash your draft or charge your credit card? If so, they have your application and it passed the completeness check. If not, your application either failed the completeness check or they never received it.

Either way, first thing would be to contact CIO via the form on their website. Include as much info as possible - name, date of birth, address, NOC etc. They will be able to tell you whether your application has now gone to the visa office or not.
