Hey all,

We fly this Tuesday, cant wait. Rented a small 1 bedroom at Mississauga, fully furnished.

Quick question, I wanted to prefill the PR card application form IMM5444, but this link says I do not need to fill this form or follow this process and the same will be issued as part of the immigration process.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-how.asp#apply_first

Any contradicting views?

Cheers,

Great news :)
How much is the rent of this apartment?
I think that you don't have to fill this form. You got COPR - you must give it to immigration officer at the airport and you'll receive your permanent resident card by mail. That's why you have to provide mailing address in Canada in a port of entry or in a local Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) office within Canada (within 180 days till your landing)

Thanks,

Saw the form and knew something was amiss. I'm paying CAD 900 a month. Think its reasonable.

Cheers,
Odin.

You still RBVO?
Once upon a time, we were next to each other on the tracker :)

And the post just keep piling up!
My brother, I'm still RBVO although my address disappeared last saturday.

I have been informed, though, that a lot of the applications in RBVO are already in process. Ecas doesn't always reflect the true status. Delays are caused by difficulties in verifying documents.

We should get some response soon.

for 900 CAD you can rent a house in Montreal (i saw advertisements like this).

But, did you get passport request and RPRF request together with MR?

It is written that you have to submit medical, passport and fee by 27/08/2011.

Entemaria, I'm truly sorry for your loss, may you have the strength to get through this and may your Brother's soul rest in peace.

Congratulations Asaif and Bman, it has certainly been long enough that the of you have been kept waiting. I really hope you both get your MRs asap and the rest of the process speeds forward for you. All the best!

can somebody pls help in clearing a confusion..SGVO asked for personal net worth statement. can we show the minimum POF as the net worth?

Another question, if the net worth amount is very big but somebody decides not nto take the full amount to canada..can that be an issue?

in short i want to know the significance of this net worth value for getting visa and whether there is any hard n fast rule for that net worth amount..

Pls advise..

Usually VO gives instructions how to deliver passports and pay fees. For me the best way was to drop off passports in person and pay fees in Warsaw VO.

You can also sent passports by courier.

Hi, it's been a long time since I last entered this forum. I just want to let you know that my status has changed to In Process on 12 July (after one year and 3 days of receiving my application).

Congratulations Asaif... :)

Finally, my ecas status has changed to In Process. It reads; Your application was reviewed and we started processing on July 12, 2011. Congrats to Asaif and I pray that all those early applicants (July, August, sept., Oct.) who are still on RBVO will move to In Process and get their MR soon. Thanks to every single person on this forum for your support over these months.

Congratulations Bman... :) :D :D
