Yes, they send me same message when I make similar inquiry. All these messages and emails are useless. Complete waste of time for you (they believe that its complete waste of time for them). I keep on sending them emails and inquiries for a simple task ----- change my old address to new address, and still they send me mail on my old address.

But whatever they said, ecas will start working by itself, and it will explain the most current scenario of your application. So just hang on to it.

If you ask them about ecas they will say that ecas is for people applying from Canada only but the xperience on the forum is that it is quite accurate 95% of times for everyone. If you are in the 5% then too bad. It has been working just fine for me. I got medicals 3 days after going in process and meds data was updated 3 weeks after my meds were done. Other guys on the forum Wayne, Indira etc had also their ecas quite accurate as per their progress of the app. Hope this helps

Do you get an email request for medicals as well a letter with the forms ? Or just a letter ?
Let's assume the mail is lost, can you get the forms somewhere and fill them and go to the Dr, or do you actually need the forms they send you ?
I am just concerned about my mailing address and planning ahead !
I still did not get the first AOR letter the CIO said they sent me on 01 June in the email they sent me and on e-CAS !!

Let me try to put your mind at ease. It is ecas format to write the address the way it shows on your ecas. It is correct mine shows that way and my attorney said its customary. Second, CIO does not send a letter (although ecas says they do) only an email. Hope this helps you to relax a bit ;D. You probably have a long way to go (unfortunately but Buffalo seems to be one of the slowest offices). Wait for them to send medical request before you worry about if they were sent or not. As you can see from the international spreadsheet it takes around 6 months after you applied to get ecas yo go in progress after you get your PER. It will take about 7-8 from your PER to get your medicals (at least that is what it seems for now - their are so few applicants that this is not statistically significant). Don't worry things will come with time and there is really not much to do but being patient.

read the posts on this thread carefully... there is a strong correlation between ecas changes and the processing of ur file . Till now for all the people on this forum ecas updates have been very accurate and meaningful..

The reply you got from buffalo is a standarad reply.. they give crap to anyone and everyone

Hello friends,
I have one challenge and it's wearing me down.
As you are aware, my application has been paused at medical stage because of the baby we were expecting. The baby came on 27th June and I made passport application for him. At the end of the application processing, Nigeria immigration Service gave us 12th December 2011 for appointment. That means the passport will effectively be issued 10 working days later (about 28th December 2011). All efforts to explain my situation to them have not yielded any dividend. Please I need some good advice on what to do. Annoyingly, Nigerian passport application is done via online only. The system is faulty IMO. Given 6 months appointment time is not acceptable. And its only my baby's medical that is left to complete our application. Can I make his application to CHC London without a passport and explanation letter? I guess no.
Please guys I urgently need your advice and opinions. Anything is useful right now.

Hello Shalom,
I know this approach might look expensive, but it may potentially save you six months. I was going to suggest you fly to Lagos with your baby (at least the baby won't be paying for a seat) and get a passport in 24hrs ( FESTAC Passport office is quite fast). What do you think?

Breaking News 29 list will remain the same for new list

To qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, applicants must have at least one year of paid work experience in one of the 29 eligible occupations or have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. CIC has just announced that the list of 29 eligible occupations will remain the same for the coming 12 months; however, fewer applications will be accepted for processing. As of July 1, 2011, only 500 applications will be accepted for processing per occupation and only 10,000 applications will be considered in total for the coming 12 months. Applicants who have a validated job offer from a Canadian employer will not be affected by the caps.

My uncle is a resident Canadian citizen but I had not mentioned that in my application. Do you think I must add that now ? If yes then what documents need to be included?

first of all congratulation for newbaby shalom. your baby is gift from god . as your baby is a gift of god,god will solve everything soon. sorry my friend shalom i havnt any information about issuing passport from nigeria as i am egyptian but i react to ur post as i feel of what u feel so i will pray for you for solving this proplem. also i want u to pray for me as my baby will come in the few coming day .god with u and bless all ur family

Hello everyone,

Just wanna let you guys know that we were right. I got a NER dated in 28 of June, 2011

Same reason here, no sufficient points. I am very very sand and depressed right now.

One question, and please answer. Can I apply for a visitor/tourist Visa to go for a short period of time. Have so many friends there... and I was plannig to be there in November since my best friend is having her first baby. I know it wont be for work, but I really need to see all of theme one more time. Hopefully I can!
