I've posted this before in this thread but now I am posting again for you and for all who have to add their spouse or child in their application

Please see the mail I received from Buffalo. If Wayne thinks that it can be added to his blog, it is most welcome (provided your blog does not become another website with loaded information)

We acknowledge receipt of your correspondence informing us of a change in your family composition due to marriage. Please review the following two options:

1) If your spouse is NOT a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, he or she must be examined in the context of your application, whether or not he or she will accompany you to Canada. He or she will have to undergo a medical examination. We will send you the appropriate form upon reception of the documents listed below.

In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:

· processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)

· notarized birth certificate of your spouse

· copy of your spouse's valid passport

· 3 recent photographs of your spouse according to the specifications

· a notarized “no” criminal activity certificate for your spouse

· a completed application kit with all the requirements

· updated IMM0008 Generic and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself.

· a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” for your spouse ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp).

Copies of the original documents with original certified translations into English or French are required. All documents must be sent by mail or fax (see fax number and address below.

2) If your spouse is a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident in Canada, they may choose to sponsor you in the Family Class Category if he / she is a permanent resident and residing in Canada OR a Canadian Citizen.

Information which will assist you in making this decision is available at:
- Processing times for immigration applications in all categories: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/index.asp

- Information on Family Class immigration: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

If you decide to submit a Family Class application, your Skilled Worker application (or in any other category) will not be affected. Once a positive decision is made on either application the other application will be closed.

Application forms, fees schedule, payment methods and photo specifications are available on our Web site: www.buffalo.gc.ca.

We will contact you if there is any further information we require.

For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

regards

entemaria

Thanks Jo

Jbaby,

Except exemption from PCC, all other documents are same and necessary. Spouse need a background declaration eventhough they have not asked me but child does not.

Johnyusa,

It is "Canadian Consulate General"

I am really longing formy 2nd AOR but have not yet received it, What do you say do i mail the VO regarding any information about the same? I really fear it losing in transit. The fear being that if the same happens to the medicals request in fututre (Fingers Crossed), god forbid.
I also hope that it does not affect my process.

Great news - we are going to CHC London next Thursday (7th July) to deliver the passports so should have the visas stamped in them 2 weeks later (21st July)!!!

Although we have to double check the photo specification because it seems it may have changed AGAIN since we had some photos taken ready a few weeks ago!

Nevertheless we are very excited. Have amended the spreadsheet to passport received colour, ready for changing back to visa issued colour hopefully in a few weeks!

Wayne.

Congrats Wayne!

Dear Pharmacy1,

Congrats for MR.

No need to panic. ND VO ask for negatives of photos. But its not mandatory. As couple of applicant done Medicals without it. Advise you to contact your DMP for it.

Thanks for the good vibes, beast! I certainly hope so!
I am off to Vancouver to visit my dearest husband and see my new home for the first time in 17 days time, so I am very excited about that. Also, the postal strike is over in Canada, so now it is possible to receive mail and maybe they will send the Meds soon.

Queencougar, wish you the best!
