I wouldn't completely say that Buffalo didn't give us priority. Yes they are extremely slow but some have gotten medicals way in advance of pre June 2010 applicants. I think they are prioritizing us at Buffalo speed :P.

Congratulation Wayne and your wife! Hope you still stay with us until the last person in this spreadsheet get visa!!!!

The Minister said that time for processing post jun 10 application is calculated by months not by years as before. We hope that it will be correct to all of us. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Did you send a case specific enquiry to add your wife to the file?

If yes, what documents did the VO require to send?

Thanks,
Jbaby

I've posted this before in this thread but now I am posting again for you and for all who have to add their spouse or child in their application

Please see the mail I received from Buffalo. If Wayne thinks that it can be added to his blog, it is most welcome (provided your blog does not become another website with loaded information)

We acknowledge receipt of your correspondence informing us of a change in your family composition due to marriage. Please review the following two options:

1) If your spouse is NOT a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, he or she must be examined in the context of your application, whether or not he or she will accompany you to Canada. He or she will have to undergo a medical examination. We will send you the appropriate form upon reception of the documents listed below.

In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:

· processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)

· notarized birth certificate of your spouse

· copy of your spouse’s valid passport

· 3 recent photographs of your spouse according to the specifications

· a notarized “no” criminal activity certificate for your spouse

· a completed application kit with all the requirements

· updated IMM0008 Generic and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself.

· a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” for your spouse ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp).

Copies of the original documents with original certified translations into English or French are required. All documents must be sent by mail or fax (see fax number and address below.

2) If your spouse is a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident in Canada, they may choose to sponsor you in the Family Class Category if he / she is a permanent resident and residing in Canada OR a Canadian Citizen.

Information which will assist you in making this decision is available at:
- Processing times for immigration applications in all categories: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/index.asp

- Information on Family Class immigration: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

If you decide to submit a Family Class application, your Skilled Worker application (or in any other category) will not be affected. Once a positive decision is made on either application the other application will be closed.

Application forms, fees schedule, payment methods and photo specifications are available on our Web site: www.buffalo.gc.ca.

We will contact you if there is any further information we require.

For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

regards

Johnyusa,

first of all Congratulations for you and your wife. It will be definitely a celebration time when you know that you are becoming Father!!!

Thanks you for the detailed reply. It gives me a lot of tension release. My favourite beers are Alexander Keith or Stella. I certainly enjoy all kinds of beer. Defitely will not win over Wayne.

Regarding Xray, I will advice you make a case specific enquiry since the BUFFALO VO generally answers your email in a week and if the reply is not detailed ask for clarifications. if you get a positive reply regarding using 6 months old Xray, take that to Medical Officer and ask him to include a copy of it with your wife's result. You can also quote the relevant info that youhave shared from the website and MOfficer will accept. Since medicals are independently scrutinized here in Ottawa (where I live :)) Buffalo office does not have 100% authority on its results. Make an attempt.

Best wishes

Wow...stella is my fav also. And thanks for the suggestions, i'll send an enquiry to Buffalo and see what happens. DMP that i contacted is ready to write a report based on that X-ray and send it. Thanks again!

Dear Admins,

Final update on Tracker. ECas finally changed to "Decision Made" some 2-3 weeks after receiving Visa.

I'm sure many more Visas will be issued in the coming weeks.

Best of luck to everyone here!

Thanks a lot! I have one more question to the forum, is the RPRF fee shd be made payable to "Canadian Consulate General" or receiver general of canada...?
