Definitely, I think I'm safe for a month, but any more than that and I'm drifting into illegal immigrant territory :P
I was going to just find out if it's possible to switch my app over. It's not likely I know but this whole work permit thing is such a drag. When I applied for my the LMO that was refused they stated that they could only give me a year if it was approved, which I think is hopeless, considering Buffalo has a 17 month backlog the other one could expire and then I'll have to jump through these hoops all again -_-

Anyway thanks for the kind words. I think things will work out ok but it's just so annoying.

Hi - well you can try! :) But IMO it would be procedurally impossible to switch over to FSW1.

To be FSW1 they have to check

1) Proof of funding
2) That you have at least 1 year's experience in the past 10 years against the lead statement in the NOC description, and also a substantial amount of the duties listed
3) That you fit into the NOC cap before getting that far

The entire eligibility review at CIO is different for FSW1 and I can't see any way the visa office will allow you to switch channels without submitting a brand new app.

Having said that - there is nothing preventing you making a parallel FSW1 application after 1st July but obviously this will involve fresh supporting documents / work references / IELTS tests etc.

Wayne.

CONGRATULATIONS WAYNE....I am VERY HAPPY FOR YOU...LONDON VO RULESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Great news - we are going to CHC London next Thursday (7th July) to deliver the passports so should have the visas stamped in them 2 weeks later (21st July)!!!

Although we have to double check the photo specification because it seems it may have changed AGAIN since we had some photos taken ready a few weeks ago!

Nevertheless we are very excited. Have amended the spreadsheet to passport received colour, ready for changing back to visa issued colour hopefully in a few weeks!

Wayne congrats, so now London is sending ppr by email, that is good. I have done some research in wine that goes with spicy Indian food- Italian Nero d'avola or barbera d'asti are good. You can also try Gewürztraminer. It goes really well with lamb curries. Cheers

It took me about a month to issue the computerized birth certificate. It could have taken more unless I went to Abbaseya and pushed hard to get the baby listed and obtain a national number. For the passport, as soon as you have a birth certificate, you can obtain it in 3 days.

The VO called me over the phone informing me about the baby's medicals package to be shipped by DHL. That was 15 days after sending the requested data.

Good Luck, how is your case going ?

Magdy
realy my friend magdy i feel happy when i see ur post i wish for u that every think go ok and get visa soon god with u and give u happiness as u r co-operative with others. in the point of getting computrized birth certificate i heared that u can get the computrized birth certificate from abbassia in the same day by showing them the handwriting birth certificate is that correct. plesae tell if it is ok and it worth travelling from assiut to cairo i will go to abbasia in cairo as soon as my baby come(by grace of god and prays of all member of the forum) so as to issue this certificate quickly

How can you tell?

well, i suppose it's because cic website doesn't work :(

I also included my husband in my application so what i did was i sent a case specific inquiry to my VO and they sent me a list of the documents that you need to submit.Since my husband is not in Canada I submitted the following:(if your spouse is a canadian citizen or is holding a PR i strongly suggest you send a case inquiry to your VO they might ask you different requirements.
*processing fee for your spouse
*notarized birth certificate of your spouse
*copy of your spouse valid passport
*3 recent photographs of your spouse according to the specifications.
*a notarized "no" criminal activity certificate for your spouse
*a completed application kit with all the requirements(spouse reference letter, diploma high school and college etc)
*updated IMM0008and updated IMM5406
Hope this will be of help..
Best of luck..

Did you send a case specific enquiry to add your wife to the file?

If yes, what documents did the VO require to send?

Thanks,
Jbaby

No Change.... RBVO continues >:(

the website was down because they were removing banners about the postal strike. I think postal strike is over.
