Great news - we are going to CHC London next Thursday (7th July) to deliver the passports so should have the visas stamped in them 2 weeks later (21st July)!!!

Although we have to double check the photo specification because it seems it may have changed AGAIN since we had some photos taken ready a few weeks ago!

Nevertheless we are very excited. Have amended the spreadsheet to passport received colour, ready for changing back to visa issued colour hopefully in a few weeks!

Just to boost the spirit of Buffalo applicant: got this e-mail this morning:

"Good Morning,

Congratulations on your marriage. We have received all of the documents to add your wife to your file. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit card payments in the Buffalo office. Please submit a money order, bank draft or certified cheque payable to "Canadian Consulate General" in the amount of $550.00 USD or CDN funds.

I noticed I already got a new file number created cos my application was E0000...... and the new number was B05......

It was June 1, and it arrive there June 6, and was signed for. Do you think it may have to do with when you applied? My PER came Feb 25, so it depends. And were able to track if it reached? As long as u are sure it reached, you should be fine.

I have come back to this forum after l a long time.
My ecase changed to in process on 12th April. on 23rd May I received letter from Berlin visa office regarding PCC of me and my spouse which I sent last week.
I am looking forward to things to move but Berlin also seems to be slow.
What you forum mates suggest in my case. when should I expect Medicals.

Congrats for MR.

No need to panic. ND VO ask for negatives of photos. But its not mandatory. As couple of applicant done Medicals without it. Advise you to contact your DMP for it.

i have recieved medical request they are asking for 5 passport size photos and negative i think tht nw a days their is only digital photos wt shd i do sd i request for negative or it will do with out tht

My first file reached by DHL and delivered and signed by GLEN on 10june2011 3-30pm.Then i sent missed police clearance of my spouse again by DHL on13june2011 which was delivered and signed for by GLEN on 21 june 2011 3-30pm.Now i m thinking which date they will consider because i send then email and faX to matchup both the documents.
Will CIO consider the date of application which was signed for by GLEN ?or different?because on 23june2011 my NOC was reached the cap of 1000.

It is stated clearly that you update your aplication when your situation changes, so naturally u dont have to ask VO first. And the documents you send depends on what you claim for your wife - job, educational qualification, experience, etc. So, it's case specific. By the way, your VO has all these in their checklist. Hope this helps

My application is still "Received By Visa Office", and Buffalo never did email me regarding the status of my application. I'm pretty irritated by the slowness and lack of communication, as well as the fact that pretty much every other visa office is working at a faster rate. Really regretting the choice of Buffalo over London now.

My work permit expired, and my LMO was denied so I'm now overstaying in Canada, which I'm not comfortable with at all. I will be applying again for an LMO in about a weeks time so hopefully that one will come back positive so I can get another work permit before the end of July. If not then I will be forced to reenter Canada as a visitor (I figure I have a grace period of a month or so to sort stuff out, even if they don't say that anywhere) I'm also contemplating seeing if I can change my application to FSW1 once the counters reset in july, so I don't have the added stress of making sure my work permit is valid when the visa comes through.

I really hope everything works out ok for you - although I would strongly advise to spend as little time in Canada out-of-status as possible.

Definitely, I think I'm safe for a month, but any more than that and I'm drifting into illegal immigrant territory

I was going to just find out if it's possible to switch my app over. It's not likely I know but this whole work permit thing is such a drag. When I applied for my the LMO that was refused they stated that they could only give me a year if it was approved, which I think is hopeless, considering Buffalo has a 17 month backlog the other one could expire and then I'll have to jump through these hoops all again -_-

Anyway thanks for the kind words. I think things will work out ok but it's just so annoying.
