How long did it take to issue Computerized birth certificate and passport for the new baby?
And how long did it take the VO to send additional medical instructions?

It took me about a month to issue the computerized birth certificate. It could have taken more unless I went to Abbaseya and pushed hard to get the baby listed and obtain a national number. For the passport, as soon as you have a birth certificate, you can obtain it in 3 days.

The VO called me over the phone informing me about the baby's medicals package to be shipped by DHL. That was 15 days after sending the requested data.

We are now ready to issue your permanent residence visas. Please find a letter attached with full instructions on how to submit the required documentation. Please ensure that you read the instructions carefully and submit the Updated Information Chart and photographs along with your passports.

We look forward to receiving the documents and passports within 45 days of the date of this email.

Great news - we are going to CHC London next Thursday (7th July) to deliver the passports so should have the visas stamped in them 2 weeks later (21st July)!!!

Although we have to double check the photo specification because it seems it may have changed AGAIN since we had some photos taken ready a few weeks ago!

Nevertheless we are very excited. Have amended the spreadsheet to passport received colour, ready for changing back to visa issued colour hopefully in a few weeks!

Good man. Great you took the first step to quell this nonsense.

The number of posts is irrelevant. What is more important is the quality.

Wayne has definitely helped loads of people and I'm sure if he built a shrine, he will be worshipped.

I don't believe that was his intent but that is what this forum has descended to.

Having a lot of posts shows you have a lot of time on your hands. Many are too busy to afford that privilege.

Just make sure you get to Canada. That's all I care about.

Secondly:
I have seen the debate between Wayne and YTNZ, I really liked both ways of argumentation and the skills behind it
I am also happy that I am older than 100 posts

Thirdly:
I will be going to do medicals for my new born and additional medicals for my wife that were asked by the freaks at the VO.
Going back 3 months .... Eh !
I will be taking Passports + Photos + Forms + Money, am I forgeting something ?

We've just received our passports with visas stamped. The date of issue is June 22.
