HI ALL,

THIS IS TO INFORM YOU ALL THAT BY GOD'S GRACE WE RECEIVED OUR PASSPORTS WITH VISA TODAY. RPRF WAS ENCASHED ON 23RD JUNE.

SORRY TO BE LOUD TODAY BUT I CAN'T CONTROL MY HAPPINESS.

MAPLECANQ

Congratulations!

Did you only provide a family tree? If so it might be hard to appeal since you cannot provide new evidence. Appealing works as long as you provided the correct documentation. Qorax has a thread that discusses the recommended docs to prove relationship to a family member.

Please help !!!
Is it better to re-apply or Appeal against the Decision???
I just received an email saying that you are sort for 3 points....
They are saying you have not submitted the documents to proove the relationship of mine and my aunty in Canada, even if i have provided the family tree ...
The quote from Visa Officer was like that ....
"You were assigned a total of 5 adaptability points for your spouse's Master's degree level educational credential. No points were assigned for a relative in Canada as sufficient documentation was not on file to satisfy me of the relationship with Kalpanaben Priyawadan (Official documentation indicating the name of this individual's Mother and Father was not provided)"

What does that mean exactly???

Please Help guys.....

not only the family tree...
Also the Birth Certificate of my mom and my aunty which was having same father name...

IMO it seems that you should have provided more evidence (reading qorax recommendations). There is no harm in appealing but if it lacks evidence you might need to reaply. Here is what Qorax recommends:

Proof of "Relationship"
Having one of the above, we now must submit adequate docs to "show" the 'proof of relative' if we want to seriously get those points, which might sometimes 'make' or 'break' our case. This "Proof" is required in Three (3) Steps. Here's how u go about it:

1. BASIC EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP:
Proof of relationship to your close relative in Canada can be evident by docs, such as (A)birth, (B)marriage or (C)adoption certificates. For eg, to prove that your relative in Canada is your paternal aunt, it would be necessary to submit copies of birth certificates for her and for your father showing they have at least one common parent.

2. WHAT DOCUMENTS NEEDED AS PROOF?
• If s/he is a PR: provide a copy of Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or CPR [COPR] or PR Card.
• If s/he is a Citizen: provide Citizenship proof, such as a copy of Canadian passport or Citizenship card.

3. HOW TO PROVE RELATIVE IS 'CURRENTLY INSIDE' CANADA?
Provide evidence to show that your relative is currently residing inside Canada. This may include copies of:
• Lease agreements [Rental Contracts],
• A current Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada,
• An Employer's Letter confirming employment,
• Monthly Utility Bills [Telephone, Mobile, Cable, Gas etc.].

Well, the solution is to look at few other threads where people have been waiting for 2, 3 or more years and still positive and hoping that they will be hearing some response from VO/ CIC soon. Suicide is a very serious thing and not something you make jokes of.

Hi. Congrats with your application.

I would like just to ask regarding the Phrase "Decision has been made" then every one seems so excited already with this. I do not want to sound negative but how can we sure of a POSITIVE APPROVAL with this "decision made" thus it mean we will really have the PPR next seeing this phrase? I hope to see one in my application soon.... so tense already....

No need to contact VO unnecessary. As so many applicants are in RBVO. VO will revert to you.

Hello friends,

I see no progress in my file since 4 months. I am waiting for my medicals. :)

I have no patience since nearly all the applicants around my application date have got it and there my e-cas still shows "In Process" since 28th Feb.
Does it mean the process going slow or the file having some detailed investigation..???
Please help me..i am worried for this kind of slow process.

Mitsu :)
Well, we are in the same boat, Mitsu.
No news for 4 months since the status changed to RBVO.
Also, we are Cat 2 and they said 6 months processing for us. :(
I have no idea what is going on, but we are ordering CAIPS notes to try to find out what is happening. I cannot believe that they have not looked at our files, but what they have decided when they looked at them I have no idea.
I know we have been totally truthful and have plenty of points, our job is absolutely legitimate and we followed all the submission requirements to the letter (notarised documents etc), so it is very upsetting to be still waiting while others pass by.
Maybe CAIPS will reveal their thinking or maybe just kick start their processing for us.
Good Luck to you for some movement soon.

Dear Senior Members,

i am very worried after reading jignesh patel's case.

i have also availed points for my relation ship. relation ship is my Wife's uncle.

Its almost 3rd week i have reapplied, awaiting for CC to be encashed and getting prepared to face the worst.
But i would like to get some suggestion and help from forum friends.
I haven't received my last application so have to reprepare all the documents in order to apply for july. only thing i am lacking here is the original experience letter from the hospital, which i have to request again from my country and since they issued 2 times within a month, it is really difficult to convince them to issue one more letter. Is there any other option i could convince CIO about this, with providing only a photocopy of last experience letter and a cover letter? Please please share experts views...

Maybe you can provide a notarized copy? That could suffice... Obviously nothing beats an original. But maybe explain in a cover letter that you previously submitted an original with a previous application and give them the case number
