hello
ijust get this Email from cairo embassy

You are kindly requested to provide us with the following documents:

- Evidence of your wife's brother residency in Canada, such as evidence of employment, Notice of Assessment (NOA) etc..

Please provide the above by latest July 23, 2011. If nothing has been received from your end by that date, we shall proceed to the final assessment of your case based on the information/documents already on file. As the required documents are directly related to the final assessment to be made on this application, failure to provide it within the deadline above could lead to its refusal.

- You are also requested to provide us with the FBI certificate.

as i already sent my wife s brother copy of citizenshipand my F B I certificate with the document on feb 27
i can t understand what they mean by ( evidence of employment, Notice of Assessment (NOA) etc..)
another thing should i apply for a new F B I as it takes betwen 4 -6 month to get and i sent them the one that i get 2 years ago since my last trip to USA WAS 10 YEARS AGO OR SEND THEM ANOTHER COPY THANKS

Hi Beshocar,
The officer want you to provide document showing that your wife's brother is currently residing in canada. you might have submitted copy of his citizenship doc., but that doesn't states that he is currently living in canada. seniors can advice you better on which documants to send in.

Brav21
thanks brav21 but still can not understand what they mean by ( evidence of employment, Notice of Assessment (NOA) etc..)
dose it mean a contract or bank statment or apartment contract
thanks again for your advice

My understanding is that they use third party inputters to update ECAS, it's not an automated process, since ECAS is a completely separate database to the GCMS/CAIPS that the visa offices will be using.

Which is why it can be updated at all kinds of whacky times.

Outsourced to India??? !!!
Sometimes when I saw the speedy process in New Delhi VO, I wanted to ask Mr. Kenney to outsource some Buffalo and London applications to New Delhi.

Thanks Wayne

Hi,

I believe a letter from your brother-in-law's employer confirming his status of employment, an apartment lease aggreement and their utility bills will suffice as proof of their residency. Not sure about the FBI clearance though. ::)

Good Luck and be quick to send them some solid dox.

Don't quote me on that- it's just my understanding from what I have heard, but I have no official source for exactly how ECAS is kept up to date.

Wayne.

No Wayne. I'm not quoting but my wish is that if they outsourced some of our applications to ND, we will definitely some changes soon. Thanks anyway. Yesterday when I was biking on the biketrails behind Parliament hill in Ottawa, I was literally down. This is a big relief now.
