Dear Friends in Damascus Visa Office

Here are the latest news regarding Damasucs visa office:

For those who might not know Farsi here is the summary:

Unrest in Syria and tranferring visa officers is the main reason Damasucs visa office is working very slowly.
Unfortunately situation in Syria doesn't seem to calm down and although some of officers are back alone, not with their families, they are under pressure and do not have the same efficiency.

Second reason is: there are drastic changes in processing software and system which is being implemented now and probably we will see the result very soon. Mr. Mokhtari, an immigration lawyer, believes upon successful implementation of new system, things will notably speed up.

Actualy I am at office right now and I cannot be more elaborate. I just wanted to give the good news to my friends in Damascus visa office to help them be more patient.
I appreciate if soembody can add more details to this translation or I will do at night when I get home.

I wish the best of luck for all people in the forum

Bahman

Dear Seniors, Dear Freinds,
I have a serious problem and I need your help please please
I have probably misunderstood a sentence in the Schedule 1 Background/ Declaration.
the sentence is about if I have been refused before for the immigration to Canada. In 2004 I have applied at Visa Office London and been refused and the reason of the refusal was that the officer was not convinced that my certificate is a Master.
I thought that the sentence means if I have been refused before as a refugee!! and my answer was NO.

please tell me what to do now, shall I inform my VO specialy my Ecas still RBVO ??!!!

thanks

Inform visa office immediately in writing, submitting new signed Schedule 1s and include a covering letter apologising for the error - and follow it up with a case-specific query online so they can confirm they have been informed. Luckily since you are still RBVO you should have time to get this amended information to them before the visa officer processes your file.

It is much better that it comes from you than for the visa officer to discover this himself/herself.

Wayne.
